Diggin It volunteers had a wonderful day at Chaplins, with their virtual bee hive, competition and quizzes. Volunteers from Diggin It were on hand to give advice and encouragement on how to get started on growing your own fruit and vegetables. Children were encouraged to grow seeds and taste vegetables. Diggin It are funded by the big Lottery, the project aim is to provide a wide range of organic gardening to a wide range of people and encouraging small communities to work together. Also at Chaplins local animal charity Woodside who brought down some rabbits from the sanctuary were also on hand to give advice on looking after your rabbit and the importance of giving rabbits enough space and correct living conditions and feeding.
Director Vanessa Plumridge says the welfare of animals is a top priority at Chaplins and always encourages people to look into the suitability of the pet before they have a pet.
Also on the day we had Mr Fowley and his owner Jenny who have raised £41,000 in just 10 months for the Children's Hospice South West.

Also on the day we will be running a is your pooch a pin up competition so bring your dogs between 10am and 4pm and have Freebird Photography photograph your dog for free, with option to buy the photograph, and the winner will win a years supply of James Wellbeloved dog food.
The dog show will hopefully raise in excess of £1,000 for the Children’s Hospice South West all are welcome!
